At CHARM, we believe that reentry isn’t a one-time event. It’s not just a date on the calendar or
the removal of physical bars. Real reentry, the kind that transforms lives from the inside out,
begins and continues with discipleship.
We’re not talking about surface-level faith. We mean gritty, everyday, walk-it-out, die-to-yourself discipleship. We mean choosing Jesus daily in community, accountability, and service.
For us, discipleship isn’t just a ministry program. It’s the heartbeat of everything we do.
Discipleship Happens at Home
That’s why our Transition Homes are intentionally called Discipleship Homes. These homes
aren’t just a roof and a meal. They’re safe places to be deeply rooted in the Gospel, to heal from
years of hurt, and to be discipled in Christlike character and calling.
Jesus said in John 8:31–32:
“If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will
know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
We’ve watched men walk through our doors carrying chains of addiction, broken identity, and
cycles of pain and walk out as faithful employees, devoted husbands, and spiritual leaders.
That transformation doesn’t come from a fresh start. It comes from the Gospel.
When someone enters a CHARM home, they’re entering a space where Scripture is lived, not
just learned. Where accountability is loving, not legalistic. Where service is modeled, not just
preached.
From morning devotionals to shared meals to serving in local churches and inside prisons, our residents are immersed in a life of faith-filled obedience.
The Numbers Tell a Story
Nationally, nearly 70% of individuals released from prison will return within three years. But for
those who live in a CHARM Discipleship Home for at least 12 months, that number drops to less
than 3%.
That’s not a fluke. It’s the fruit of long obedience in the same direction.
It’s what happens when men are deeply discipled, when the Word of God shapes their thinking, the Spirit of God guides their steps, and the people of God surround them with grace and truth.
Reentry Isn’t the End. It’s the Beginning.
That’s what reentry should be. Not just a return to society, but a return to identity. A return to
purpose. A return to the God who redeems and restores.
At CHARM, we’re not just helping people get out. We’re helping them grow deep. And that’s a
mission worth giving our lives to.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you.”
Matthew 28:19–20
Let’s keep building. One disciple at a time.
